Change the Recycle Bin Icons (All Windows) Category: Home > Windows > Appearance > Fonts and Icons
Would you like to make you Recycle Bin into something a bit more exciting? Maybe a glowing toxic waste bin? With this tweak you can change the icon to be whatever you like. Open your registry and find the key below. Within the key are three values: '(Default)', 'Empty' and 'Full'. Set the values to equal the icon you'd like to display for the various states of the Recycle Bin. These changes should take effect immediately, you may need to refresh your desktop by clicking on a blank area and pressing F5. Note: When you use icons not found in the shell32.dll library you may need to press F5 to refresh the desktop icons.
Disclaimer: Modifying the registry can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. We cannot guarantee that problems resulting from modifications to the registry can be solved. Use the information provided at your own risk.
